Environmental Compliance Data Administrator (m/f/d)

Fully remote within Germany | Full-time | Permanent
Trust-based working hours | 30 days of annual leave

Environmental compliance involves a lot of data. That is where you come in.

Companies selling products across Europe need to register with environmental authorities, submit regular reports and keep their compliance information up to date.

Packaging quantities need to be declared. Registration details need to be checked. Authorities ask questions. Clients send updated data. Deadlines need to be monitored.

None of this is rocket science. But it does require someone who works carefully, keeps a clear overview and makes sure that things are completed properly and on time.

That is exactly what we are looking for.

Viron Compliance Group helps international companies manage their environmental obligations across Europe. Our clients rely on us to handle registrations, declarations, authorised representation and ongoing compliance management for packaging, electrical equipment, batteries and other product categories.

We are now looking for an Environmental Compliance Data Administrator to support our clients and compliance team with the practical day-to-day work behind these services.

What this role is about

You will manage environmental compliance processes for a portfolio of international clients.

This includes preparing and submitting EPR registrations, processing environmental data declarations, communicating with clients and authorities and keeping our internal systems accurate and up to date.

Some tasks follow a clear process. Others require you to check a document, follow up with a client or clarify a question with an authority or recycling scheme.

You do not need to be an environmental lawyer. You do, however, need to enjoy structured work, pay attention to details and take responsibility for getting things done.

What you will do

  • Prepare and submit EPR registrations for packaging, electrical equipment, batteries and other product categories
  • Complete regular environmental data declarations on behalf of our clients
  • Review client data for completeness, plausibility and consistency
  • Request missing information and documents from clients
  • Communicate with environmental authorities, producer responsibility organisations and recycling schemes
  • Respond to routine client questions and provide clear updates on ongoing processes
  • Monitor registration, reporting and renewal deadlines
  • Maintain client records, registration numbers and compliance information in our internal databases
  • Upload and organise contracts, certificates, reports and supporting documents
  • Keep an accurate overview of open tasks, pending responses and upcoming deadlines
  • Prepare simple reports and summaries for clients and internal colleagues
  • Coordinate with our compliance specialists when a case requires further regulatory assessment
  • Help improve internal templates, workflows and data-management processes

You will not be expected to solve every question alone. Our compliance specialists will support you whenever a case becomes more technical or requires a legal interpretation.

What we are looking for

You work carefully, communicate clearly and do not lose track when several tasks are running at the same time.

You may already have experience in environmental compliance, EPR, regulatory administration or recycling. However, experience from another administrative, data-focused or client-facing position can be just as relevant.

You will probably be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience in administration, data management, customer service, compliance or a similar role
  • Enjoy working with structured processes, documents and deadlines
  • Pay close attention to details and notice when information does not match
  • Can organise your own workload and follow up on open matters reliably
  • Feel comfortable communicating with clients and external organisations by email
  • Can explain missing information or next steps in a friendly and straightforward way
  • Are confident working with Excel, databases and online portals
  • Are comfortable learning new systems and regulatory processes
  • Take ownership of your tasks instead of waiting to be reminded
  • Work well independently while knowing when to ask for support
  • Are professionally fluent in English
  • Speak German or another European language – this would be an advantage

Previous experience with EPR registrations or environmental reporting is welcome, but it is not essential. We will provide you with structured onboarding and help you understand the relevant processes.

What you can expect from us

Fully remote work

You can work remotely from anywhere in Germany. There is no requirement to commute to an office several days a week just to sit in video calls from another desk.

Trust-based working hours

You organise your working day around your responsibilities and deadlines. We care about reliable work and clear communication, not unnecessary time tracking.

30 days of annual leave

Taking proper time off is part of working well over the long term.

Structured onboarding

Environmental compliance can look complicated from the outside. We will introduce you step by step to our services, systems, reporting processes and the relevant EPR requirements.

Clear processes without unnecessary bureaucracy

Many tasks follow defined workflows and templates. Where something does not work well, we are open to improving it rather than continuing with an inefficient process.

Independent responsibility

You will manage your own tasks and client processes. At the same time, you will always have access to colleagues who can help with technical or regulatory questions.

International work

You will work with clients, authorities and recycling schemes across different European countries. The role offers variety without requiring constant business travel.

Short decision-making processes

We communicate directly and solve issues pragmatically. You will not need approval from five different people before sending a straightforward client update.

Meaningful work

Your work helps companies meet their environmental obligations and ensures that registrations, declarations and take-back responsibilities are handled properly.

How we work

We take compliance seriously, but we do not believe that every task needs to be made more complicated than it is.

Good work in this role means keeping accurate records, meeting deadlines, communicating clearly and dealing with small issues before they become large ones.

You will have freedom in how you organise your day, but you will not be left alone. We share information, support each other and speak openly when a process needs to be improved.

There is little room for internal politics, unnecessary meetings or complicated hierarchies. We prefer clear responsibilities, practical solutions and colleagues who can rely on one another.

Interested?

Please send an email to careers@viron.eco and include your CV as well as a few lines about your previous work experience.

A perfectly polished cover letter is not required. We would rather understand what kind of administrative or data-related work you have done, how you organise yourself and why the role could be a good fit for you.

We review applications on an ongoing basis and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and life experiences.
