Senior Sales Manager – Environmental Compliance (m/f/d)

Fully remote within Germany | Full-time | Permanent
€83,000–€93,000 per year | 30 days of annual leave

Environmental compliance does not sell itself. Almost.

Companies selling products across Europe face a growing number of environmental obligations. Packaging, electrical equipment, batteries, take-back requirements, registrations, declarations – the list keeps getting longer.

That is where we come in.

Viron Compliance Group helps international companies manage their environmental compliance obligations across Europe. Our clients rely on us to understand which regulations apply to them and to handle the practical work behind it.

This includes:

  • Environmental compliance management for packaging, WEEE, batteries and other product categories
  • EPR registrations, reporting and ongoing compliance management
  • Authorised representation in several European countries
  • Take-back, recycling and circular-economy solutions

Put simply: we make environmental compliance manageable.

We are now looking for an experienced sales professional who can help us bring these services to more companies.

What this role is about

As our Senior Sales Manager – Environmental Compliance, you will take ownership of the sales process from the first conversation to the signed agreement.

You will speak with manufacturers, online sellers, importers and international brands that need support with their environmental obligations. Some already know exactly what they need. Others only know that something needs to be done.

Your job is not to make the topic sound more complicated than it is.

You will understand the client’s situation, explain how we can help and turn that conversation into a long-term business relationship.

The role combines direct B2B sales with business development and the opportunity to build new indirect sales channels and strategic partnerships.

What you will do

  • Develop and manage your own B2B sales pipeline
  • Identify and approach companies that could benefit from our services
  • Handle qualified inbound enquiries and actively create new sales opportunities
  • Conduct discovery calls and understand the client’s business, products and target markets
  • Present our services in a clear, practical and convincing way
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms and close agreements
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional services
  • Develop partnerships with consultancies, marketplaces, logistics providers, tax advisers and other potential referral partners
  • Explore new markets, industries and indirect sales channels
  • Work closely with our environmental compliance specialists to ensure that every proposed solution is technically accurate
  • Maintain a clear overview of your pipeline, priorities and expected results
  • Share market feedback and help us improve our services, pricing and commercial approach

You will have a high level of freedom in how you organise your work. We care about clear communication, reliable follow-up and good results – not how many hours your status appears green.

What we are looking for

You have several years of experience in consultative B2B sales and have already worked within the environmental compliance, EPR, recycling or regulatory services industry.

Previous professional experience with Extended Producer Responsibility and environmental compliance management is an essential requirement for this position. You should already understand the commercial and operational context of areas such as packaging, WEEE, batteries, producer registrations, reporting obligations and authorised representation.

You do not need to know every national regulation or reporting category by heart. Our environmental compliance specialists will support you with detailed legal and technical questions.

However, you should be able to independently understand a prospective client’s general compliance situation, identify relevant business opportunities and confidently lead an initial commercial conversation without first having to learn the fundamentals of EPR.

You will probably be a good fit if you:

  • Have a strong track record in B2B sales, business development or key account management
  • Have previous sales or business development experience in EPR, environmental compliance, recycling, waste management or a closely related regulatory services sector
  • Understand the basic regulatory and commercial principles of packaging, WEEE and battery compliance
  • Are comfortable selling consulting and compliance services that require explanation
  • Can manage longer and more complex sales processes without losing momentum
  • Can communicate credibly with manufacturers, online sellers, importers and international brands
  • Know how to build long-term relationships without relying on aggressive sales tactics
  • Enjoy taking responsibility and working independently
  • Are commercially minded, organised and reliable in your follow-up
  • Feel comfortable working with international clients and colleagues
  • Are professionally fluent in English
  • Speak German or another European language – this would be a strong advantage

An existing network within environmental compliance, EPR, recycling, sustainability or international product compliance would be a significant advantage.

What you can expect from us

Fully remote work

You can work remotely from anywhere in Germany. There is no requirement to commute to an office several days a week simply because that is what companies have always done.

Trust-based working hours

You organise your working day around your responsibilities, clients and results. We do not believe in unnecessary time tracking or micromanagement.

An annual salary of €83,000–€93,000

Your exact salary will depend on your experience, background and the value you can bring to the role.

30 days of annual leave

Taking proper time off is part of doing good work over the long term.

Real responsibility

You will not be one of fifty sales managers following a script. You will have room to shape our sales approach, develop new channels and influence how we grow.

Short decision-making processes

We are an international and growing company, but we still work with direct communication and practical decisions. Good ideas do not need to pass through five management levels.

Support from technical specialists

You do not have to become a legal expert before speaking to your first client. Our environmental compliance team will support you with the technical details and help develop the right solution.

A service with a clear purpose

You will sell solutions that companies genuinely need and that contribute to better environmental compliance, responsible take-back and a more circular economy.

How we work

We like people who take their work seriously without making everything overly serious.

You will have freedom, but you will not be left alone. We share information, help each other and deal with problems directly. There is little room for internal politics, complicated hierarchies or meetings that could have been an email.

The environmental compliance market is growing quickly. Regulations are becoming more complex and more international companies need practical support.

We know the market. We have the services. We have the compliance expertise.

Now we are looking for someone who can help us turn that into new client relationships.

Interested?

Please send an email to careers@viron.eco and include your CV as well as a few lines about your previous work experience.

A perfectly polished cover letter is not required. We would rather understand what you have sold, how you approach clients and why this role could be a good fit for you.

We review applications on an ongoing basis and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and life experiences.
